Born in Havana, Cuba in 1970, Antonio Dojer came to the United States in 1991 via Spain. He studied at the San Alejandro School of Art.
Dojer is overjoyed that he can finally use the strong lines, vibrant colors and abstract art that he loves instead of party line regimented art. Able, at long last, to paint what he wants, Dojer spends almost all of his time in a flood of creativity, sparing only a few hours to listen to Afro-Cuban music and to dance.
Inspired by urban living conditions, he has experimented with mixed media and various materials, but has returned to painting as his favorite means of expression.
Hoping that one day he can return to Cuba, he would then love to continue to paint, to grow as an artist, and to teach art and freedom of artistic expression to the next generation.
