Dan Partouche was born in Tiaret Algeria in 1932. His father was an artist specializing in Jewelry making. Immigrated to Israel in 1954 and lived on Kibbutz Hanita in the western Galilee.
From 1962 to 1964, he studied at the Avny institute in Tel Aviv and was influenced by artist such as Zaritsky, Streichman and Stematsky.
In 1966, he received a scholarship to study at the School of St. Martin in London. He soon returned to Israel after graduating and taught at the Center for Art Studies in Hadera.
In 1978, he moved to Paris to return to Israel again after a few years. He began working in pastels and later opened his studio in Raanana, Israel. Dan Partouche held numerous exhibitions and was particularly successful in Japan. He died in 2004.
