Amanda studied at Falmouth and Chelsea Art Colleges then she began to work full-time as a wildlife artist, exhibiting in Cornwall and London.
During the mid nineties, Amanda pursued her love for sailing. Working as a sailing instructor around the coast of Cornwall, Amanda absorbed all of the beauty and drama of the ocean. The effects of the weather and the unique conditions Amanda experienced whilst spending so much time at sea worked as a catalyst for the direction her paintings were to take.
The play of light on water, distant horizons, stormy clouds and the proximity of the Cornish moorland where she lives have inspired the distinctive, bold paintings that she is producing today.
