Known as the master of the Baroque revival, Italian sculptor Angelo Basso is one of the most noted figurative sculptors in both his native country and the United States.
Basso employs the many basic characteristics of traditional Baroque to add grace and flowing movement to the contemporary sculpture he produces today. His technical mastery and knowledge of human anatomy is evident in his idealization of the female figure. A self-taught artist, Basso exhibits internationally and has work in the Vatican Museum.
